What we do

Collection and testing,
done with care.

  • Blood collection

At every location, for tests ordered by your healthcare provider.

  • ECG

Available at both Penticton labs — Ellis Street and Skaha Lake Road.

  • Specimen drop-off

No appointment needed to drop off samples at any lab.

  • Private-pay & naturopathic testing

For tests MSP doesn’t cover. All major cards and cheques accepted at every location.

Behind every collection: chemistry, hematology, and microbiology departments, with Dynacare’s national testing catalog for everything beyond.

Before you visit

Three things make every visit faster.

  1. Bring your BC Services Card

It’s how we confirm identity and keep your results matched to you.

  2. Bring your requisition

Or your standing order card — we can’t collect without one.

  3. Check your lab’s visit options

Some locations take walk-ins with a live queue; others let you book ahead.

Your results, online

Results are sent to your ordering provider. You can also see them yourself, as soon as they’re released:

No BC Care Card number? Ask your ordering provider for your results.

Since 1969

A valley institution,
five decades on.

What began as a small community lab has grown to more than 150 staff across fifteen locations — now operated by Dynacare, with a national testing catalog behind every requisition. Community-based, DAP-accredited, and still answering the phone in Kelowna.
